Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify: 1- Self-direction of university students.

2- The significance of the differences in self-direction according to the variables: A- Gender (male, female).

B - Stage (first, fourth).

C- Specialization (scientific, human).

The current research sample consisted of (381) male and female students who were selected randomly with a proportional distribution of university students, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the self-direction scale was adopted.

For Cloninger, 1993) after confirming the validity and stability of the tool, it was applied to the research sample, and for the purpose of achieving the research objectives, a number of statistical methods were used to process the data.

The research reached the following results: The university students have self-direction, and there were no statistically significant differences in self-direction according to the gender variable (males, females), and specialization (scientific, human), as well as the stage (first, fourth), and according to the results of the research a number of recommendations were included and proposals.
