The current research aims to evaluate the content of the social book for the second intermediate grade from the point of view of teachers for the academic year 2018-2019, the first edition in 2018, the research community consists of all the male and female social teachers who study the social book for the second intermediate grade, numbering (851) teachers and schools in Baghdad Where the researcher chose a sample of 20% amounting to (170) teachers and schools, and the researcher used the questionnaire, which consisted of (89) paragraphs distributed over nine areas, which were presented to a group of judges and experts to extract the apparent honesty, and used the questionnaire to collect data and then the responses were finished and analyzed The results were obtained using the statistical means represented by the weighted mean and the weight percentile, The researcher reached a set of results, the most important of which is that the cover of the book was not characterized by strength and did not guide to appropriate methods and strategies, and was not devoid of strange words and fillers, and was not devoid of overcrowding with information and did not develop curiosity and exploration among students, and in light of the results shown by the research, the researcher recommends several recommendations, including emphasizing The book focuses on developing students’ thinking skills of all kinds, cooperative learning, research and exploration.

The researcher also proposes several proposals, including conducting a study similar to the current study to evaluate social studies books in other newly prepared stages.
