Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the level of academic stress and cognitive distortions among students of the Institute of Fine Arts, and to identify the correlation between academic stress and cognitive distortions, and the significance of differences according to the gender variable (male-female) for the two variables.

To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher built an academic stress scale in the e-learning environment, and adopted a scale (Al Alawi, (2013) for cognitive distortions.

paragraph, then applied the two scales to the research sample of (200) male and female students, who were chosen by equal random method from the students of the Diyala Institute of Fine Arts, and after analyzing the data and processing it statistically using the following statistical methods: the t-test for one sample, the t-test for two independent samples, and the Pearson correlation coefficient.

The researcher reached the following results: - that the students of the Institute of Fine Arts have a high level of academic stress and cognitive distortions, and there is no statistically significant difference between males and females in academic stress, and there is no statistically significant difference between males and females in the level of cognitive distortions, and there is a positive correlation between Academic stress and cognitive distortions
