The current research aims to identify social identification and its relationship to emotional intelligence among university students, and the significance of the differences in the relationship between social identification and emotional intelligence according to gender (male-female), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher built a social identification scale according to Tajfel theory, And the adoption of the AL.nasha scale (2005) to measure emotional intelligence, and the discriminatory strength of the paragraphs of the two scales and the validity and reliability coefficient was verified by applying the two scales to a sample of (400) male and female students from Al-Mustansiriya University chosen by the random cluster method, and the researcher used the statistical bag for social sciences (SPSS).

I have shown Results.

University students have a social identification.

And emotional intelligence.

There is a positive (direct) correlation between social identification and emotional intelligence among university students.

And There are statistically significant differences in the relationship between social identification and emotional intelligence according to the variables of sex and in favor of females.

The researcher reached a number of recommendations and suggestions in light of the objectives and results of the research.
