Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the level of mathematical enlightenment among students of the Department of Mathematics in the Colleges of Education by answering the following questions: There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the mean of the real performance and the mean of the hypothetical performance of the students in the Al-Tannoor Math Test (as a whole).

There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the mean scores of male and female students in the Mathematical Tannour test as a whole (according to the gender variable).

After the research community was identified, which represents the students of the fourth stage of the Mathematics Department in the Colleges of Education in Iraq, which numbered (1280) students (males and females), the research sample was determined for the students of the fourth stage of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Pure Sciences Ibn Al-Haitham, Tikrit University/College of Education, and Al-Qadisiyah University, College of Education, where the sample size was (418) male and female students distributed between (212) male and (206) female students, comprising (33%) of the total community.

To verify the hypotheses, a three-dimensional enlightenment test was built and consisted of 40 multiple-choice items.

1) After conducting the appropriate statistical analyzes of the Mathematical Enlightenment Test of the difficulty, distinguishing and effectiveness of alternatives and ascertaining its psychometric properties using appropriate means, it was concluded: The students (the research sample) possess the acceptable limit of Mathematical Enlightenment.
