This study aims to highlight the situation of the fishing and aquaculture sector in Algeria, and the efforts made by the state to develop and modernize this important sector and to confront all difficulties and obstacles that hinder the development of this vital sector in Algeria, as it is a strategic source of national income and creation wealth, which made Algeria pursue a strategy aimed at activating the developmental role of this sector, achieving food security and diversifying exports and preserve the marine environment.
