After the events of September 11, 2001, the united states of America launched what it called the war on terror and used the legitimate and illegal means in this war, the most important of which were the military bases ; it used them as detention centers and a venue for military trials.

this is consistent with the international reports of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.

perhaps one of the most important foreign military bases used by the united states in its war on terrorism in Afghanistan is the base of the Cuban Guantanamo, which comes in first place, which enabled it to carry out activities beyond its traditional tasks, and turning military bases into detention centers and torture as a result of holding military trials of these detainees and depriving them of the most basic rights recognized to them.
