Abstract EN

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of a program based on remembering strategies in the achievement of students of basic education faculties and the development of their cognitive sense.

To verify the goal of the research, the researchers formulated the following two null hypotheses : (1There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who were subjected to the educational program and the average scores of the control group students who did not undergo the educational program in the achievement test of the general teaching methods subject.

(2There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who have undergone the educational program and the average scores of the control group students who did not undergo the educational program according to the cognitive sense scale prepared for this purpose.

The two researchers applied their experience in the second semester of the academic year (2020-2021 AD), and the research sample consisted of (160) male and female students from the third stage in the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Basic Education, where they were randomly distributed into two experimental and control groups, with a total of (80).

) male and female students of each group, then the two groups were rewarded in the variables (the chronological age of the students calculated in months, the level of intelligence, the test of prior knowledge, the level of the cognitive sense), and based on the relative importance of the content of the scientific material and its behavioral objectives, an achievement test consisting of (40) was built.

A test item of a multiple-choice type.

The two researchers also prepared a cognitive sense scale, which included (40) items on the scale, the aspects within the cognitive domains (23) items and emotional (17) items.

A three-dimensional gradient was used (applies to me with a degree of Great, applies to me to a moderate degree, does not apply to me) to answer each of its paragraphs, and the validity and stability of the two tools were confirmed and their psychometric properties were verified.

The achievement test and the cognitive sense scale on the students of the two groups, and after obtaining and analyzing the results, it was found that there was a clear effect of the educational program in increasing the achievement of the students of the experimental group and a significant impact on developing their scientific sense.
