This research falls within the approach of the autobiographical paratexts discourse, taking (Standing in the Sun) by Dr.

Ali bin Abdulaziz Al-Khudairi as an example.

It is analyzing the external paratexts of this biography (cover, author's name, title, image, color, éthno literary), the internal paratexts (introduction, internal headings), and the relationships that weave with its text, benefiting from the clarification of those paratexts by the critic Gérard Genette in his book (Seuils), and often taking his view in analyzing them.
