Abstract EN

The current research study aimed to identify the degree of possessing the education competencies based on the metacognitive thinking by teachers of mathematics of the primary level in the third directorate of Al-Rasafa, Baghdad.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive, analytical approach due to its suitability to the variables of the study.

In selecting the members of the study sample, the researcher adopted the random, applicable sample.

He further prepared questionnaires and distributed them to a sample of (50) male and female teachers.(2021) (2022) After the completion of the statistical analysis, the study concluded that the mathematics' teachers of the primary stage in Baghdad do have the educational competencies based on the metacognitive thinking by a moderate degree and that the order of the educational competencies based on the metacognitive thinking according to the means was : planning skills, evaluation skill, review skill, and observation and control skills.

The study also showed )a=0.005 that the female teachers have more educational competencies based on the metacognitive thinking than the male teachers and that the teachers with less experience have more educational competencies based on the metacognitive thinking.
