Abstract EN

It is evident that pharmacy plays a pivotal role in improving the public’s health.

It is a prominent social and health asset within all communities.

Therefore, pharmacy profession is regulated by comparative legislation with its own law.

The Moroccan legislator has followed the approach of comparative legislation, as it singled out the pharmacy profession with its own special law as well.

In this respect, either in comparative or Moroccan laws the pharmacist job and responsibilities are surrounded by a set of obligations not only in order to make the work of the pharmacist more efficient in the health system, but also to protect the users of medicines and pharmaceutical products in general.

Indeed, if we look at those obligations, we will find that they are divided into two parts.

The first part is related to informing the user of pharmaceutical materials, as these obligations are considered the essence of the pharmacist's work when dispensing medication without a prescription.

The second part of the obligations are closely related to the prescription, which the pharmacist should not neglect because it is at the core of his or her responsibilities and duties.
