This research aims to identify the prosodical structure in Ahmed Bin Alwan's poetry, and the extent of his commitment to meters and rhymes, or his attempt to its modernization.

it has been concluded that Ahmed Bin Alwan followed the example of the predecessors in the use of poetic meters and reformed in some meters as he departed from Khalil's meters.

he also reformed in some aspects of rhyme and kept pace with the poets of his time in writing on the complete meter.
