Abstract EN

The research aims at drawing the attention of terminologists to a large gap in the contemporary Arabic linguistic dictionary that people widely used in their speeches and writings, which were not considered and noticed by them.

They are the sounds of machines, inventions and new developments that modern human civilization made, and which did not exist in the previous eras in addition to the roots, verbs and other derivatives.

The research shows the way ancient and modern people used to express this kind of language, which is based on simulating the terms with the closest and the most resembling Arabic sounds, on specific bases and rhythms/meters.

This study found that the proper way to fill the gap should be developed by the specialists in modern terminology, using the same manner that the Arused on this kind of language.

However, it should be based on a valid scientific methodology that takes into consideration the linguistic heritage of bases and rhythms in addition to modern audio technology that distinguishes sounds and their equivalents in Arabic sounds.

That allows us to find the term that is closer and more suitable for the sounds to be expressed in order to prevent improvisation and to commit to science.
