Museums are described as places of memory and protection of heritage against the scourges of time, nature and humans, because they are built in response to a noble social purpose and a collective need, which consists in remedying the various symptoms of collective forgetfulness resulting from the inescapability of social change, such as the lack of collective consciousness; the weakness of the national personality and the fragility of cultural identity, which makes these social institutions, ideal places for the recall of the ego and the search for the collective ego; on the other hand, it should be noted here that this museum phenomenon, in assuming this mission, controls the psychological conditions and social frameworks of the phenomenon of forgetting and memory, because it is based on a segregationist museum approach, based on the choice of the themes of patrimonial staging, which are predestined to the different museum groups that share certain social criteria and cultural conditions that define them socially and distinguish them culturally, in a way that reproduces, through remembrance, the different historical social classes.
