Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the Algerian woman in the field of legal sciences, and her interest was most in hadith memorization and narration, in addition to her interest in jurisprudence, and other sciences serving the legal sciences.

the Muslim woman’s contribution in the scientific and educational field has extended since the early ages of Islamic civilization, so the Muhaddith, the jurist, the mufti, and the Sufis appeared, who were intended by students of science, and some scholars learned from them.

among the scholars were those who used to hold councils for knowledge, and some of them traveled more in seeking knowledge to a number of scientific centers in Egypt, the Levant, Mecca and Medina, until they became well-established in the narration of hadith and forensic science in general, and some of them contributed to poetry, literature and other sciences.

however, we find that history books and biographies did not give them detailed attention, but referred to them when mentioning their fathers or husbands.

Algerian women have an effective contribution to the scientific movement in general and in the field of legal sciences, especially at the time of the flourishing of science in the Arab Maghreb from the beginning of the ninth century AH.
