Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the legal system of Waqfs in Algerian legislation, so that the Awqaf sector in Algeria has known several legislations and laws since independence.

laws have evolved according to Algeria's political stages from the recognition of the endowment as an inherent principle in Algerian legislation which is due to its origin derived from Islamic law, to the articles dispersed among the constitution and ordinary legislation then regulations.in the meantime, the Awqaf law covered by the amendment came as a special law to be the general framework governing Algeria's Waqf sector, then several executive decrees have been issued in terms of management and administration, investment and development methods.
