This study examines the protection of journalists according to the rules of international humanitarian law during international and non-international armed conflicts.

And that is by talking about the groups covered by protection under the conventions of international humanitarian law, as well as talking about the most prominent non-governmental institutional organizations that seek to devote protection to journalists in time of war.

Perhaps the most prominent conclusion of this study is that the rules of international humanitarian law tried to play an important role in protection, but there are many countries that did not respect those rules through their violations against journalists, especially the Israeli occupation state
