Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of students’ awareness of the dangers of environmental pollution, and its questions were: What is the role of the university towards the environment, what are the sources of awareness among students, and what are their attitudes and behaviors towards the environment.

The study relied on the descriptive approach, the theory of the “global risk community”, and a sample of (362) students and the study found an increase in the level of environmental awareness among students, while their awareness of the environmental role of the university decreased.

The Internet and the media are their most important environmental sources, and their environmental attitudes and behaviors were negative
