We have the right to wonder what combines tourism as a leisure industry and ecology ? it is, in a sense, a meeting of opposites.

tourism harms the environment on a natural, social and cultural level, while ecology seeks to save and protect it from external influences this meeting of opposites took place after tourism witnessed rapid growth in the seventies of the twentieth century, and it turned from the pleasure of a social elite to a pleasure within the reach of large segments of societies.

ecotourism came to meet two needs : the consumer's need for natural tourist places that were not damaged by the tourism of the masses, and the need to develop a conservative environmental mentality that has its own philosophy and principles, in order to increase the advantages of this type of tourism, especially with regard to achieving sustainable development.
