Abstract EN

Terminology are vital concepts to understand the great Arabic syntax heritage.

This research addresses an aspect of the Arabic Syntax terminology, which is the difference of opinion over the terminology of Arabic Syntax among Arabic grammarians by studying the difference of opinions of scholars about the syntax terminology stated by Al-Mu'afa bin Zakariyya Al-Jareeri in his book "Good Company".

The researcher has made a fundamental study of this difference of opinion over Syntax terminology and verified the attribution of terminologies to one group or the other, highlighting the prevailing terms and the obsolete ones.

The researcher concluded that Al-Mu'afa was very precise in stating these differences of opinions regarding syntax terms among grammarians and that he has singlehandedly stated some terms, while some others were seldom mentioned by his counterparts.

Despite the pricelessness of the book "Good Company" and the diversity of its sciences, it remains an unfamiliar book that is hardly mentioned in the ancient and contemporary grammatical studies.

Hence, the acknowledgment of the book and appreciation of its author are one aim of this research.
