Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the role of charitable institutions in facing the Corona pandemic in the State of Kuwait, and the effect of some variables on that.

The two researchers used the social survey, and data was collected through a questionnaire included (36) statements distributed on four axes (the method of working in charitable institutions, its role in community service, its role in facing the Corona pandemic, and the assessment of charitable institutions).

These data were applied electronically to a purposive sample accessed through social media networks consisting of (835) persons who are working in (Community field service implementers) and non-working staff (The recipients of services) in charitable institutions.

Besides, the two researchers analyzed the content of the reports of the Ministry of Social Affairs that dealt with the efforts of these institutions during the pandemic.

The results of the study showed that charitable institutions have contributed in collecting donations to support the government's efforts in facing the Corona pandemic, and supported needy families.

The results indicated that there are statistically significant differences among the responses of the study sample on the way of work in charitable institutions due to gender variable while there are no differences on other axes.

And there are no differences in all axes of the questionnaire due to nationality and qualification variables.

The results also indicated that there are no differences about the role of charitable institutions in society service due to age variable while there are differences about other axes.

There are differences on all axes of the questionnaire due to work place variable Bsides, the results pointed out that there are differences about the way of work in charitable institutions and their role in society service due to governorate variable while there are no differences about its role in facing the pandemic and the assessment of charitable institutions.

The study sample presents some suggestions to develop the role of charitable institutions to facing the Corona pandemic.
