The current study aimed to determine the most important factors related to the youth's appetite for self-employment, through a set of objectives and questions adopted by the study.

It is considered one of the descriptive studies, as the study used the comprehensive social survey method, and the study sample was (64) single, and it relied on the questionnaire as a tool for data collection.

The results of the study came to clarify that self-employment gives young people many practical experiences, makes them feel able to succeed, and earns them many broad social relationships.

The study also found that the family has a role in material and moral assistance, such as encouraging its children, and there are suitable places to market the products of self-employed workers, as well as the rules and regulations that regulate this work.

While the study found that there are a number of difficulties facing self-employment, including: the lack of a stable income, the need for adequate capital at the beginning of the project, and the high prices of goods and services.

In light of this, the study presented a set of proposals, represented in modifying some misconceptions about self-employment and its value within society, working to amend and develop legislation, laws and regulations that facilitate the procedures for establishing and financing self-employment projects, and providing the marketing environment for self-employment projects.

As well as some sub-proposals, such as: proposals related to personal factors, proposals related to educational institutions, proposals related to community culture, proposals related to self-employment.
