Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of mathematical thinking skills in the developed mathematics book for the first grade in Jordan, and the study sample consisted of the developed mathematics book for the first grade in Jordan.

The most prominent results were that the total repetitions of mathematical thinking skills in the developed mathematics book for the first basic grade in Jordan amounted to (4682) recurrences, of which (2412) recurrences in the first semester, with a percentage estimated at (0.52), and (2270) recurrences in the second semester.

With a percentage estimated at (0.48), the results showed that the mathematical thinking skills were distributed over the five areas (generalization, induction, deduction, logical thinking, and symbol expression), where the field of symbol expression ranked first with a number of repetitions equal to (705) iterations, and an estimated percentage By about (0.29), while the skills of field and induction came in the last rank with a number of iterations equal to (256) iterations, and a percentage estimated at about (0.11), and the study recommended the need to work on conducting studies to reveal the degree of inclusion of skills Mathematical thinking in a balanced manner in mathematics books for the rest of the grades and school stages.
