The character is a prominent component of the narrative work, as it only rises by its existence as it is the kinetic object, and the main driver of the events of the narrative text.

In this research, we have looked at the character in the novels of Muhammad Alwan Jabr and found a diversity in his characters, including the central central main characters that embody the primary role in the novel, including the secondary characters that were instrumental in the development of events, determining the fate of the main character, and finally the marginal characters that the novelist brings to fill a void .
