Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the political culture and its role on the values of citizenship among university students, as well as the role of the media and social communication on the political awareness of students, in addition to monitoring some models of citizenship values and their role in promoting citizenship and discussing the challenges that may hinder these roles.

The study relied on the descriptive approach (topic analysis) and the results of the study showed the importance of the university’s role in promoting the values of citizenship and political culture, and that there are many models and mechanisms that can be used as guidance in the implementation of the activities of consolidating the values of citizenship and political culture, which is represented by the media and social communication.

The results of the study also showed that spreading education and political awareness in student life is a factor of immunity against illegal affiliations in their lives and that it enhances the values of citizenship.
