Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن علاقة الخطاب الإعلامي على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي باتجاهات الرأي العام للشباب الأردني إزاء جرائم الشرف، إذ تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي عن طريق تطوير استمارة احتوت على جمع المعلومات الديموغرافية و اتجاهات الشباب نحو قضايا الشرف، و عادات التعرض لمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، و تم اختيار عينة بلغت (385) شابه و شاب بلغت أعمارهم من (19-24) سنة، و أخذت العينة من شباب جميع المحافظات في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية و بنسب تتطابق مع نسب توزيعهم على محافظات المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.

و انتهت الدراسة إلى مجموعه من النتائج كان أهمها أن تعرض الشباب الأردني للخطاب الإعلامي المتعلق بجرائم الشرف على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، يزيد من مناهضتهم لهذا النوع من الجرائم و يدفع إلى اتجاه رفضها بدرجة ملحوظه و مقبولة، لكن ليس بحجم كبير.

و خرجت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات كان أهمها ضرورة زيادة الفعالية و الاهتمام بالخطاب الإعلامي المتعلق بجرائم الشرف على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي و الاهتمام أكثر بهذا الخطاب كما و نوعا، و كذلك إعادة النظر في التشريعات القانونية لتكون أكثر ردعا لمن يفكر في ارتكاب جرائم الشرف، و إلغاء التشريعات المخففة المحلة التي يستفيد منها الجناة في قضايا الشرف.

English Abstract

The study aimed at investigating the relationship between the discourse on social media platforms and the attitudes of youth’s public opinion regarding honor crimes, The researcher conducted this study according to the descriptive approach through developing a questionnaire which collected the demogeographical data, attitudes of youth regarding honor crimes and the patterns of social media exposure.

The sample of the study consisted of (385) male and female aged (19-24) years, from all over the Jordanian governorates in proportions that simulated the proportions of their distribution over the governorates of the Kingdom on social media platforms.

The study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which was that the exposure of youth to discourse through social media platforms increases their opposition to this kind of crimes and motivates them to reject honor crimes to an observable and acceptable degree, yet not to a substantial one.

The study came out with a set of recommendations such as; the importance of enhancing and concentrating on the effectiveness of social media discourse related to honor crimes both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Moreover, the study recommended reconsidering the legislations related to honor crimes in order to be more deterrent to other would-be offenders in honor crimes.

As well as repealing the lenient sentences in cases of honor crimes which offenders get benefit of.
