Ozo case is considered one of the Arab cases that was included in the papers of the International Court of Justice, and it is one of the border issues between the Arab countries.

Libya, despite the existence of political and economic relations and historical ties between the two countries, but this does not mean that there are no differences between them.

The Ozo strip has emerged as the center of the dispute between Libya and Chad, which was distinguished by its riches represented by oil and mineral resources.

This dispute is a result of the results of French and Italian colonialism and its foundation The Treaty of Laval Mussolini, Libya occupied Ozo, claiming its right.

This led to a clash and military confrontations.

The two parties began to consult with the aim of calming the conflict between them.

It ended with the signing of an agreement between the two sides, which includes a referral to the International Court of Justice.

With pleadings and holding sessions, it ended with the issuance of its ruling, represented in the entitlement of Chad to the Ozo strip, based on documents and maps, and based on the treaties concluded decision, which recognized Chad’s eligibility for the Ozo strip.

The Arab countries showed their welcome to the court’s decision, especially the countries that were aligned with Chad, such as Iraq, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Algeria.
