Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the extent to which e-learning competencies are available among the faculty members of the College of Basic Education, and to examine the level of those members' attitudes towards e-learning.

For that purpose, the descriptive analytical approach has been adopted, and a study tool consisting of 47 phrases, and distributed over 5 axes, has been designed, addressing : computer competencies, Internet use competencies, e-teaching competencies, e-assessment competencies, and e-curriculum design competencies.

It was applied to a sample of 174 faculty members selected from the two main branches of the college (i.e., boys and girls).

The findings revealed that overall e-learning competencies are available to a large extent among the faculty members, and that these members have high-level attitudes towards e-learning.

They also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences among the respondents' mean scores regarding the possession of e-teaching competencies as per the gender variable.

However, differences were detected as per the academic degree variable in favor of the respondents who hold degrees of (Assistant Professor & Associate Professor), and as per the variable of the number of years of experience in favor of the faculty members who have less than 10 years of experience.
