This paper discusses to what extent we can use IQ testing as a fair tool for labelling people intelligence.

both labelling and IQ tests are among the most debated issues in the field of education and psychology; the education system uses IQ testing to differentiate between students and to label some as student with high intelligence students with normal intelligence, students with learning disabilities, slow learners.

and mentally retarded within the education system.

this issue will be investigated and explored along with the debated issues about intelligence and IQ testing: what IQ tests really do measure, the concept of a fixed mental performance and finally, the heredity of intelligence.

the implications of the use of IQ tests and the role that schools can play in increasing intelligence will also be discussed.

as conclusion, the stability of the IQ test is not a fixed tool for measuring intelligence.

using the idea of multiple intelligence and emphasizing the differences in the qualities of humans, rather than using IQ tests might be fairer to judge human intelligence.
