The Iraqi agricultural reality has declined in recent years at high rates, which negatively affected the provision of adequate food for the country, and this was indicated in the report (world food program), which was performed on several poor countries, including iraq, as the report showed shocking indicators as a result of the high prices that affected the iraqi family after 2003.

the program's representatives recommended that the government carry out a comprehensive analysis of food insurance in iraq for all governorates and work to improve the food situation through humanitarian workers and decision-makers.

despite the challenges that agriculture in iraq still faces and the obstacles that stand in the way of reform plans and programs such as corruption, fluctuations in oil prices, terrorist operations and other problems, the iraqi government has developed ambitious plans to work on broad reform programs for different categories of people, especially the poor, and implement them through public policy tools.
