Abstract EN

The political events that Iraq went through after 2003 led to the process of drawing up a constitution that reflects the structure of the new political system, which built consensus between the active forces and parties in the Iraqi political reality.

it is supposed in the constitution to be the link that brings together all these spectra, components, ambiguity, distortion, and contradiction deepening the dispute between the legislative authority and the executive authority, on the one hand, and the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan regional government, on the other hand.

this contradiction affected all areas of political reality as elections and others.

the political process has been successful and it needs to amend most of its provisions in line with the continuation of the process of democratic transition in Iraq.
