Individual international sanctions are considered one of the most important means of the United Nations to achieve its goals, and their importance has increased many hopes have been placed on them, which were on the belief that despite these sanctions exceeding the limits of the purely peaceful way, they do not reach the extent of causing the catastrophic effects of the use of armed force, as the methods of its application have varied and proved their ability to adapt according to the situation that calls for imposing them international sanctions have seen some of their elements overlapping with similar concepts such as unilateral sanctions, which had resulted in a degree of lack of clarity surrounding the relevant studies.
