Abstract EN

This study presents a Semiotic analysis of a model of the poems of "Abo-Tayyib ELMOTANABBI" in the light of the semiotics of "Juri LOTMAN".

For this purpose, we relied on the foundations of poetic discourse analysis formulated by "Juri LOTMAN"; with the aim of identifying the "Beyond Literary" of Poetic Creativity, while supporting these principles with integrated analytical mechanisms, its source is: Linguistics, Interpretive Semiotics, Rhetoric, and some Arabic Language Sciences that were called for by the nature of Arabic Poetry.

We have concluded that the poetic text is an artistic construct consisting of a group of unified, organized, and graded poetic levels that possess constructive artistic values and aesthetic functions that achieve its Syntagmatic structure and build its objective unity.

It is now the same- from an Interpretive Semiotic Perspective- different functional semiotic sub-systems that operate in an interactive manner within a general Semiotic system embodied in the Poem; in order to build a unified meaning, and to communicate a coherent message.
