Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between learning motivation self management and emotional intelligence among a sample of basic-stage students.

The study sample consisted of (500) male and female students from the basic stage (seventh, eighth, and ninth) in Al-Jazira, the city of Wad Madani.

The study followed the descriptive approach and used the study included a measure of learning motivation and a measure of emotional intelligence (prepared by the researchers).

The study concluded that the relative weight of motivation to learn reached (72%), which is a high level.

The relative weight of emotional intelligence reached (76.9%), which is a high level, and there is a significant relationship.

Statistics at a significance level (0.05 ≥ a) between learning motivation and emotional intelligence, and there are no differences between the averages of the respondents' responses regarding motivation to learn and emotional intelligence depending on the economic level variable.
