Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of psychological and social adjustment among secondary school students in Gaza, as well as to identify the level of achievement motivation among these students and the relationship of psychological and social adjustment to their achievement motivation.

The sample of the study consisted of (500) male and female secondary school students in Gaza half of whom are males and the other half are females.

The study followed the descriptive approach and the study used the psychological and social adjustment scale and the achievement motivation scale as study tools.

The study reached several results namely : the level of psychological and social adjustment among secondary school students in Gaza is characterized by high the level of achievement motivation among secondary school students in Gaza is characterized by high- there is a statistically significant positive relationship between psychological and social adjustment at the secondary stage and their achievement motivation and there are differences Statistically significant in the level of psychological and social adjustment among secondary school students in Gaza attributed to the type of student.

It also recommended strengthening and enhancing learning motivation through counseling programs which are based on theories of psychology.

Because it is one of the variables that mean building society and the individual.

The researcher suggested studying the impact of learning motivation on the academic adjustment of secondary school students (a comparative study.
