Tétuani craftsmen excelled in their trades and contributed to enriching the forms, roles, and products of these crafts.

they did so by establishing an administrative system that preserved their distinctiveness from all types of fraud and waste.

a thorough study is required to fully understand and appreciate the different types and aspects of these crafts.

in this article, we will rely on some historical sources and field research to introduce some of them and highlight the degree of diversity that characterized them, as well as the particularity of some models of these crafts in the contemporary life of the Tétuan community.

today, they constitute a historical memory and cultural heritage that requires the intervention of responsible authorities to enhance and invest in development programs.

as Tétuan is a Mediterranean city, studying its historical heritage requires encouraging research in history and heritage to contribute strongly to highlighting the Tétuan community as a model that believes in cultural diversity, especially since the makers of its civilization have been and still belong to several ethnic groups : Jebala, Andalusians, Riffians, Blacks, and more.
