The world has recently adopted a trend of protecting the national economy in the context of so-called economic protectionism, which has long been confined to developing countries.

however, recent financial crises have made the phenomenon of protection a global phenomenon, despite the fact that the idea of globalization of foreign trade has been embraced and advocated, particularly in the capitalist thinking of removing economic boundaries, with a view to maintaining positions of occupation, thereby transforming economic security into social security.

This article examines how protectionist policy is applied in Algeria, particularly in its administrative sector, where it examines first the concept of the national product, especially its legal aspect, and then the mechanisms of an administrative nature aimed at protecting the national product.
