The widespread idea of good governance in the discourses of international institutions and governments has led to several efforts to combat corruption at the international, regional and national levels.

in this context, Algeria has initiated the ratification of the united nations convention against corruption and the African union convention on the prevention and control of corruption.

Algeria, like other third world countries in particular, suffers from the problem of corruption, which ravages the national economy and threatens the social cohesion of the state, which has prompted the Algerian legislator to adopt an anti-corruption law, which provides legal bodies and mechanisms to prevent corruption, both nationally and internationally.
