The study aims to examine the frameworks for tackling the drug phenomenon in the Algerian electronic press, through an-Nahar online as a model.

it also seeks to determine the determinants of media handling of the phenomenon.

for this reason, the descriptive approach and the content analysis tool were used.

the sample was intended to be counted during a period of three months from July 1 to September 30, 2020.

The study concluded with a number of results, the most prominent of which is that the al-Nahar online site treats the drug phenomenon in accordance with frameworks that reveal the seriousness of the phenomenon and its prevalence in Algerian society.
