We tried, through this modest study, to present one of the hidden aspects of the trade union movement in the city of Sidi bel Abbas during the colonial period, and this aspect exemplifies the control imposed by the communist movement on the trade union movement in this region, which extended for more than 19 years (1920-1939) until Sidi bel Abbas became a stronghold.
