لمكافحة فيروس نقص المناعة (HIV / السيدا) يؤكد الخطاب الوقائي على ضرورة استعمال الواقي الجنسي في العالقات الجنسية.
ولكن استيعاب الخطاب الوقائي حول فيروس السيدا صعب وبطيء في مجتمع يعتقد أفراده أنهم عن منأى من هذا المرض.
يكشف هذا المقال عن التمثلات الاجتماعية للواقي الجنسي في المجتمع الجزائري وذلك بالتطرق أوال إلى تمثلات أفراد المجتمع الجزائري تجاه المخاط فيروس نقص المناعة (HIV / السيدا) وثانيا تبيان العوامل الاجتماعية والثقافية التي ساهمت في تكوين وتطوير التمثلات الاجتماعية حول الواقي الجنسي في المجتمع الجزائري.
Abstract EN
The condom is considered as a key element in the fight against HIV / AIDS, this leads us in this article to ask the following question: how is the condom perceived and adopted by the Algerian population? through this article, on one hand, we will deal with representations of the Algerian population about the risk of HIV / AIDS.
and on the other hand, the sociocultural elements that have participated in the social construction of the condom in the Algerian context.

Le préservatif est considéré comme un élément primordial dans la lutte contre le VIH / sida, ceci nous conduit lors de cet article à se poser la question suivante: comment le préservatif est perçu et adopté par la population algérienne? à travers le présent article, nous traiterons d'une part, les représentations de la population algérienne face au risque du VIH / sida.
et d'autre part, les éléments socioculturels qui ont participés à la construction sociale du préservatif dans le contexte algérien.
