Abstract EN

There is no doubt that the success of economic development can only be achieved by accompanying it with social development that is based on an effective social security system in Algeria, based on work mechanisms and tools that keep pace with various modern global developments.

therefore, this study aims to determine the short- and long-term relationship between social transfers (social security indicator) and gross domestic product (economic growth indicator) during the period 1990-2021, using the ARDL model.

the econometric study concluded that there is only a long-term equilibrium relationship, at a rate of 0.65%, and the absence of the problem of autocorrelation of the sequence of errors with the stability of estimators over time.
