This study aims to show the status of renewable energies in the countries of the world to achieve sustainable development, as it relied on the descriptive analytical approach.

the study concluded that the annaul growth rate of renewable energies has been on a countinous increase in the countries of the world in recent years, as the state of china has taken the global lead in this field, respectively, and in countrast, the production of renewable energies in the Arab countries are growing slowly, including Algeria.

in addition to the economic dimension, renewable energies have contributed to achieving the social and environmental dimension of sustainable development.
