The Algerian government is working hard to reform public hospitals, this in conjunction with digitization and the introduction of modern information and communication technologies, in order to keep up with developments and international competition.

these efforts come in light of the increasing demand for health services in parallel with the rise of diseases and epidemics that require speed and accuracy in working.

however Algerian public hospitals still face major difficulties that prevent their digitization, whether organizational, human, and technical or financial.

this paper aims to study the main obstacles facing the digital transformation in Algerian public hospitals, and try to propose recommendations in order to reach a real digitization of our public hospitals.
