The main axis of human existence is progeny through which the continuity of human species can be ensured.

for this reason, the Islamic sharia paid great attention to progeny and gave humankind care and attention since the creation of the fetus in the mother’s womb.

man-made laws have established restrictions dictated by the sharia in taking care of the human soul and protect it from unjust aggression at any stage of its formation, before birth or after delivery.

these laws also imposed punishments that would dissuade any ignorant person from assaulting the human soul.

abortion, which is one form of aggression on the fetus’ life, has been forbidden by the sharia and by law since time immemorial.

abortion is generally defined as the termination of pregnancy before time.

several techniques are used to get rid of the fetus.

among these, we can mention the use of abortive herbs, sharp tools, and pressure on the abdomen, and other methods, in addition to the currently used drugs and medical substances that accelerate the termination of the fetus’ life.
