This study dealt with the issue of the Hijri calendar in Islamic civilization, where the researcher started by presenting the calendar concept as a chronological record registering sequential events and facts and showing its importance among nations and civilizations.

then he mentioned the three fundamentals of the calendar, first, the need to take a known beginning for the calendar, second the adoption of regular periodic units of time and finally an uncomplicated correction system.

after that, the researcher presented the jurisprudential controls of the Hijri calendar, the arithmetic rules, and then concluded the study by putting the Hijri calendar model for the year (1444) AH.

in this study, it was concluded that the Hijri calendar is a time system based on legal fundamentals and derived from accurate astronomical and arithmetic rules that Muslims used throughout their history in various fields of life.
