Our semiotic and stylistic approach in this article aims to analyze prose poems from the collection "Al-Kitab" (The Book) by the poet Adonis, considering them as representations of the aesthetic and intellectual aspects of modernity.

this analysis will be compared with counterparts from the collection "Maqata' Yawmiyya" (Daily Sections) by the Iraqi poet Salah Faiq.

The models presented in these collections symbolize, through their intellectual presentation, the existential and philosophical depth of post-modern discourse.

this comparison seeks to address the dialectics posed by the emergence of the new literary genre.

how can this new literary genre, born from the rational thought of modernity, encompass the discourses of post modernity with its celebratory individualism and its glorification of fragmentation? to achieve the goals of this comparative approach, it was necessary to evoke the philosophical trajectories that shaped the thoughts of these two stages and their social and artistic effects.

as a result of this study, it becomes clear that the Arab poetic discourse of post-modernity is not only distinct from its preceding forms in terms of its intellectual essence but also divergent from its literary counterparts.
