Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the level of multiple intelligences prevailing among the players of table tennis in Jordan according to the variable of gender.

The researcher used the descriptive approach.

The study sample consisted of (68) male and female table tennis players in Jordan who participated in the first class league for the year 2017/2018.

The researcher used Mckenzie (1999) for multiple intelligences in order to collect data.

The researcher used statistical measures such as the mean, standard deviations, percentages as well as Cronbach alpha and Pearson correlation coefficient.

The order of intelligence for the study sample individuals was as follows: Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, social intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, mathematical-logical intelligence, existential intelligence, natural intelligence, musical intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, and finally the linguistic intelligence.

The study results showed that there are no statistically significant differences due to the variable of gender regarding all the types of intelligence.

The study recommended the necessity of making advantage of the study in setting training strategies based on the types of intelligence that characterize the table tennis players in Jordan.
