this research aims to find out the relationship between early non-adaptive schemes and self-efficacy among master 2 university students from various disciplines at Ibn Khaldun university-Tiaret-, by using multiple regression to know the schemes that predict a change in the values of self-efficacy among the study sample that amounted to 340 students.

they were selected by the available sample, where the researcher used Jeffery young's abbreviated early chart scale and Yusuf's self-efficacy scale.

the results found a relationship between the two variables and only 6 schemes out of 15 schemes predicted self-efficacy, which are divided into two schemes with direct prediction, namely a scheme (lack of mastery, control, sacrifice) and schemes with reverse prediction, which is a scheme (dependency, lack of control, submission).

because the belief in the effectiveness of learning is so important in acquiring skills that are essential as we evolve today, these findings may help to identify psychological causes that may affect university students' self-efficacy.
