The study want to understand immigration, and the sociology of Algerian immigration to France, based on the perspective of the researcher Sayad.

this is what this scientific paper sought to highlight by discussing a group of theoretical and empirical literature, starting with highlighting the nature of migration in general, its types, causes and historical context in the country of origin, then the sociology of migration at its various stages and finally Algerian immigration from the perspective of Abdelmalek Sayad.

the theoretical study concluded that there is a specificity that distinguishes Algerian immigration in general due to the different circumstances that the country experienced over successive periods of time, and in particular the Algerian immigration towards France, and that this specificity is linked to the historical context between the two countries.
